Way back in my hometown, Davao, Ken and I used to hang at this park a few steps away from their house. There was this mini public garden where we do afternoon-walks and sometimes eat lunch and have wine at. Of course we would hide the bottle from the guards roaming in bikes around the village. haha I just thought of such place as I was uploading this look. It made me miss my hometown and how everything was laid-back and calm back there.
The outfit's casual. The shorts were a size larger but it was just too lovely to pass on, so I bought it and let the belt do miracles--for the first time belts became functional and not ornamental. I wanted it in khaki/army green (i was aiming for the safari feel) but unluckily all were 2 or 3 sized bigger than mine. I hope you like it though! :)
This outfit post speaks of my style the most. I love how nonchalant and effortless it makes me look. It's as if like I woke up from a an undisturbed sleep, grab whatever there was in my rack and left!
Oversized button downs and shorts are my night in shining armor. They always come and rescue me from any wardrobe dilemma! :)
My birthday's a week from now. Finally saying goodbye to my last days of being 20. I'm not quite certain how to feel about it but as they say, People dont't get any younger. So my readers, never hesitate to follow your dreams! Okay random. haha! Im getting too melodramatic. I cant help but be thankful for everything and I'm glad to be sharing every achievement my blog has given me with you guys. Thank you and I do love you all!
This day was full of FIRSTS. First time to do a legit photoshoot, first time to be filmed and first time to meet my dear friend, Rap Meting. Never thought we'd be close friends! This was a year ago and lot has changed then!
Walked and drove the night away with my friend, Rap Meting, who came all the way here from davao just to take photos of me. Well not really, he was here for a VISA interview which was rescheduled so i just make-believed. haha It was an entertaining yet instructive experience for i drove outside my usual school-house route without my brother guiding me! Im such a proud probinsyana. haha
Toughened this floral romber with a black leather jacket from Lookbookstore.com, black booties from PRP and black a la Alexa Mulberry bag from Ken's parents.
Starting of this lazy day with a blog post about the pair of JCs I bought a few weeks ago. This was a harrowing experience for I have been attempting to avoid spending for the past weeks but still ended up eating my words! These were just too adorable to ignore. I was enthralled so I bought it despite the fact that I was broke as hell. I'm still in the process of convincing myself that its worth the ponder and whine, though I think it is. haha
It has been resting in my room for about 2 weeks already. I am psyched to wear it on my birthday, which happens to be 17 days from now!
This package arrived about 2 weeks ago but I was busy as a buzzing bee that I couldn't even open my laptop and start blogging! More than 5 posts are on que, and i still have to find time to post them all!
Anyway, the box--which I deemed very attractive--housed an animal print belt & scarf, a black vest and a haltered glittered top! I loved how black and rawr everything was! When I saw the glittered top and the scarf, I instantaneously thought of glam rock! All i need now is to buy a new pair of boots and black see-thru tights and im all good for another lookbook photo!
Which is your favorite? :)
Mimi Tupas of Soul inserted a small card. She is indeed very sweet and thoughtful! I have to say, she has the neatest handwriting I've seen! Expect more from SOUL and The Walking Recessionsita!
Find all these in SOUL at Abreeza and Gaisano Mall of Davao.
The moment I laid eyes on this maxi skirt from Lookbookstore.com, I was stunned with how it exuded subtle grace and panache. I impulsively chose this color, not even realizing how hard it would be, looking for the perfect shade to pair with neon. It was 5am when I woke up with this dilemma. I was still giddy and intoxicated so I was left with no choice. I paired it with a black corset and gray a la Jeffrey Campbell platforms from Five by Five.
I am uncertain about this one but again, i think it looks pretty awesome than how I think it would turn out. I hope you like it though! Anyway, i gotta rush to class. Still have to take my midterm exam. Tata! :)
With this ensemble, I was again faced with a challenge. I have mentioned in one of my old posts how afraid I am of pink, all the more if I have to wear two different shades in one outfit!
I wasn't entirely confident about this one til I uploaded it on Lookbook.nu. It seemed to be working well. And the more I looked a the photo set--stared at 'em for not less than 30 mins--the more I appreciated the look!
