Instant photos with my friend Yuno. Thanks for taking my outfit shots! lol

Camera: Fuji Film INSTAX Mini 8
Leather pants: G by Guess
Shoes: H&M
Necklace & hat: SM Accessories
Watch: XOXO (c/o authenticwatches)

Fooling around the streets with my sneakers feeling like a 17 year-old wandering aimlessly in the middle of the night. Not really the usual thing I do on a Sunday (stay snuggled up in bed watching my favorite channel, TLC) but cooking shows and travel programs didn't seem more appealing than walking around and taking instant photos. So in exhange of my über comfy pajamas I put on a varsity tee & leather jeans and just lived the night spontaenously! :)

We often aspire to do things with no holds barred. Skywalking in the tallest building with the randomest people, going on a gigantic pizza date with your crush or spontaneously planning a beach trip with friends are just a few examples. Of course, epic moments like these need to be captured perfectly. As typical Filipinos we always have our cameras with us, may it be an SLR or phone camera photos are very necessary!

Picture this out--you and your friends are island hopping around El Nido. There's the great view of the beaches and to make things even more beautiful, your crush is on the same boat! Breathtaking, isn't it?
But of course you pretend you aren't conscious with how you look, despite the lack of make-up and excessive perspiration due to the 12 o'clock sun.  Everything is almost perfect until you remembered... "Oh my pimple!"
Everybody's taking photos. Your crush is taking selfies with your other friends, but what do you do? Always hiding behind someone hoping that your pimple or oily skin might be too shiny for the picture.

Sad but true. Skin problems really hinder us from doing certain things. Don't you sometimes wish you can just be less worrisome about it and do things without being too conscious? I always do!  As somebody who's always under the sun and in the water, my skin tends to get very oily and pores & blemish marks seem more visible. The beach is like my second home but sometimes I get conscious with taking close-up photos. All because I don't want to look like a red shrimp deep fried in a sea of oil.

I tried so many products already and Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub and Pimple Roll-On are one of my favorites. Whenever I have break outs, I use the roll-on to dry out the pimples fast. I call it my "instant pimple fix"!  Always in my vanity wherever I go.

Now, I need not worry much about blemishes. I'm proud to say I'm ready for epic moments 24/7!! No more hiding. No more excuses.

Secure Online Shopping: MSOS

Thursday, December 5, 2013

It is a question that always crosses every Filipinos mind since the internet has made its way to our lives: How safe are online credit card transactions?  Security is the topmost reason why we often hesitate with using our cards for purchases done over the internet--no doubt about that. But despite its popularity all over the world, we still get that drop of fright whenever we fill in those empty boxes with precious sets of numbers and click submit right after it's all done.
The internet has so much "good" finds; from superb shopping discounts to great vacation promos to even unbelievable low plane ticket fares. We can't deny, exploring and discovering these deals are way too exciting. Sometimes even addicting! Especially for those that are offered for a limited time only. But sadly some people cannot avail of these. Not because that they cannot, they just do not want to. Why? Well for the very reason of credit card security.

Wouldn't shopping online be more fun if the though of risk could be eliminated? Imagine how great it would be if we availed of these internet deals through our credit cards without stressing too much. Booking a spontaneous beach getaway to create more wonderful memories with your special someone without worrying too much throughout the entire vacation about the online transaction you just made  would be the perfect example!
What if I tell you there was a bank that offers a solution to that? Yes there is.
Maybank provides a Secure Online Shopping (MSOS) system that makes all these possible.
They provide cardholders a one-time-pasword (only valid for 5 minutes) everytime they perform transactions on a 3D secure site.

First step:
When Maybank Credit Cardholder will check out his/her items in a 3D secure site for payment, he/she needs to fill out the necessary details
Maybank Credit Cardholder will be directed to an authentication page and will receive a One-Time-Password in his/her registered mobile phone number within 30-45 seconds.
Maybank Credit Cardholder must enter the One-Time-Password he/she received in the authentic page to complete the transaction
MSOS is free-service. The Maybank Credit Cardholders just need to be sure that his mobile number is registered. How easy is that? Now online shopping need not be frightening. With MSOS, we are protected. Missing out on great internet deals won't be an option anymore.

I don't know if you have heard, but Zest air is now rebranded as AirAsia Zest. The marriage of the two airlines provides us Filipinos with more flight choices as they now fly from Manila besides Clark, Pampanga. NAIA 3 & 4 are the new hubs, serving flights both domestic and international--providing more accessibility to passengers based in Manila. They also just recently extended operations in Cebu, offering more destinations to all Cebuanos as well.

Last Thursday Nov. 7, the airline hosted a bloggers' dinner for the launch of 4 things:
1. AirAsia Zest rebranding
2. New routes from Cebu hub
3. Macau
4. Miri, Malaysia

It was an intimate gathering in New Orleans/Claw Daddy's High Street where Jonathan Yabut, Apprentice Asia's winner, talked us through all the exciting things the AirAsia Zest is now offering. Good food, good company and social media contests kept us busy the whole night. Some lucky bloggers won international and domestic flights! But everyone didn't go home empty-handed cause believe it or not, they're all taking us to Macau this December to experience the new flight ourselves! Pretty good, eh?

AirAsia zest offers cheap flights both domestic & int'l and their promo fares are just unbelievable! Imagine I got tickets from Manila --> Puerto Princesa --> Cebu for a total of 1,500 php? What's great is that their prices are ALL-IN and there are a couple of ways to pay such as 7-Eleven, Bayad Center, Online Banking, Credit & Debit cards. Very convenient indeed!

New Int'l destinations from Manila will start flying on:
-Dec 6, 2013 for Macau ( flying every Wed, Fri & Sun)
-Dec 7, 2013 for Miri, Malaysia ( flying every Mon, Tue, Thurs & Sat)

Below are the routes from MNL & CEB:

Be the first to catch their promo fares & updates by following them:

Gray Tee: GbyGUESS
Moto Jacket & Distressed Leggings: ROMWE
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Booties: Terranova
Clear Envelope Clutch: Panoplia
Necklace: SM Accessories

Rocking the streets with this rockchic look inspired by none other than Taylor Momsem, the ultimate grunge Hollywood celebrity I follow besides Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus.
I know distressed leggings are very last season but I never really got the chance to be in one--that time I thought it was a bit racy but obviously now I realized I was completely wrong. And since my style these days usually lean on casual grunge, I thought the leggings would spice up my usual tights-leather jacket-boots ensemble.
What do you think? :)

Felt like I abused my body for the past weeks by eating so much junk, hardly working out and not getting enough sleep so I thought of getting back on track by living a balanced life again.
Thanks to this 3-day detox set  (made from organic fruits & vegg) from Fitness Potions, I can jumpstart my diet by doing a juice cleanse. For 3 days I am only limited to drinking liquids (6 juices, 2 liters of water & tea) and no solids at all. I've done something similar to this before (14-day lemon detox) but only lasted for 5 days cos it was too intense!! So for those who want something easy and not too torturous, I recommend you do juice cleanse. You can choose from 3, 5 or 7-day detox! :)

You can find Fitness Potions on Instagram & twitter  (@fitnesspotions) or text them 09998894482.
And for my fellow Davaoenos, they also deliver in Davao! Just look them up on Instagram @fitnesspotionsdavao.

May it be in America, Canada or Asia, Slurpee is one famous drink everybody just can't get enough of! This mind-cooling beverage (which was "accidentally" made by a genius who was forced to store sodas in the freezer to keep it cool after his soda fountain broke down) is now a worldwide frozen drink concoction. Kids love them, teens too and even young adults who always get a taste of their childhood with every sip of Slurpee!
I won't deny. I still am crazy about this brain-freezing treat. Everytime I step inside 7-Eleven, I still get that excitement of having to make my own creation from mixing different flavors. I don't know why but the freedom of do-it-yourself makes it a lot more thrilling. Like you can go all the way by filling your cup til you start seeing spills! haha

May it be the brain freeze, the psychedelic colors, the refreshing flavors, Slurpee surely is a every sugar-junkie's favorite. But there's another reason to love Slurpee even more!

Yes you got that right! 7-Eleven is holding a Bring Your Own Cup Day in the Philippines for the first time which gives us the chance by filling anything (and I mean ANYTHING as long as swak siya sa maCUPangyarihang bilog) with all the Slurpee you want! You can use a fish bowl, water jug, wellington boots, vase etc. Be creative. Sky is the limit to your imagination!

For more information about the campaign, please like 7-Eleven on Facebook  and follow their instagram (@711ph). Make sure to use the hashtag 3BYOCupDay!

Here's the official video campaign:

Aztec Skirt & Top: ROMWE
Bag: GbyGuess
Necklace: SM Accessories
Shoes: Parisian

I wanted to do something different with the tribal skirt than pairing it with casual tee and boots so I came up with a dressy ensemble that is clean and simple. I didn't do much but focus on 3 colors (white, gold & black) To maintain cohesiveness and the skirt itself is already an eye-catcher so over-accessorizing really wasn't an option. The entire look was intended to be easy on the eyes--something fresh and breezy but still maintaining that formal touch--and I thought the choice of loose button down with the tight fitting skirt & heels was perfect :)
Hope you like it!

By the way, I'm thinking of using the boho skirt for Close-Up Forever Summer this Saturday. Maybe pairing it with a DIY Cropped tee and boots! What do you think? :)
Only 4 days left til the event. Don't forget to avail of their Buy 1 take 1 promo.
Hope to see you guys!

Boho Bag & Denim Polo: ROMWE
Boots: Charles & Keith
Tie-dye dress: Thrifted
Necklace & Belt: SM Accessories
Charm Bracelet: Pandora

Some of you have been saying you missed my bohemian ensembles and to be honest I miss them just as much as you do! Lately I have mostly been posting grunge looks and it has been a while since I was in something boho. It's one of those phases where I preferred rugged jeans and studded purses over lose dresses and paisley-printed bags.
I find dressing up greatly influenced by mood (well my case in particular if not everyone's) and I just have these times when I stick to one style--may it be under boho, gypsy, casual or grunge. Sometimes I mix a little bit of each. And today apparently happens to fall on bohemian, the very style that's always been first on my list. Found this tie-dye dress in a random thrift shop in Davao and believe it or not it's only for 80 bucks. Now talk about a great recessionista find, eh? Perfect timing 'cos the package from Romwe finally arrived and the batik bag and button down went well (actually it went PERFECTLY) with the entire look!
 Don't you think so? :)

Denim button down: GbyGUESS
Booties: Terranova
Tie-dye leggings: Samuel & Kevin
Chain bag & Necklace: SM Accessories

Grunge is probably my favorite style next to bohemian. It makes dressing up more fun in a way that you need not worry about conformity cos 'fashion rules' here seem nothing but obsolete and totally ridiculous. Like you couldn't care less that you just threw whatever on and left the house in a shirt, flanel top, shredded jeans or tights. In simpler terms, a "who gives a damn what I am wearing" kinda look. Haha Charge me guilty for having a weakness for anything comfortable and probably for excessively posting casual looks also but I just couldn't help it you now. It's like an incurable disease and I' am badly infected.
I hope you like the entire look as much as I do!
Happy Sunday guys :)
